Grove Hill Gundogs
Grove Hill Gundogs is located in Franklinton, NC. At Grove Hill Gundogs, we socialize and train our dogs to be affectionate family companions and exceptional hunters. Our English Pointers have a unique skill set to excel in both field trial competitions and hunting wild birds. They are big runners and can cover a lot of ground. Our German Shorthaired Pointers are great companions as well as exceptional bird hunters. They are great gundogs that hunt close to their owners. The goal of Grove Hill Gundogs is to maintain the kennel with a mix of family pets and hardworking hunting dogs that are both compassionate and obedient.
The Family
Glenn
Glenn, born and raised on a 4th generation family farm in southern Granville County NC, runs a successful organic tobacco operation and has done so with his brother for over 25 years. Since childhood, Glenn has had a love for farming, the outdoors, hunting and above all else, his dogs. In his free time, Glenn enjoys nothing better than training and working his dogs. His kennel now consists of English Pointers and German Shorthaired Pointers. Glenn understands the importance of good bloodlines and values the relationships with all of his birddogs. As a result, their exercise and health is a top priority. He is the expert when it comes to breeding and care of all the dogs at Grove Hill Gundogs.
Mary Catherine
Mary Catherine is Glenn’s eldest daughter. She grew up on the family farm and developed a love for the outdoors, sports, hunting and dogs just like her dad. In her free time Mary Catherine loves boating with friends and family at the lake. She likes to stay active and enjoys running with the dogs whenever possible. Mary Catherine has partnered with her dad to help market and sell upcoming litters at Grove Hill Gundogs. She also has a critical role in socializing the pups on a daily basis until they meet their new owners.

Our Kennel + BREEDING PHILOSOPHY
At Grove Hill Gundogs we socialize and train our dogs to be affectionate family companions and exceptional hunters. We seek to find qualities such as natural ability, versatility, and intelligence in our parent dogs to enhance the next generation of our breeding program. We look forward to all of our upcoming litters. We keep the health of each mother and puppy a top priority. During the 7-week time period before puppies go to their new homes we dedicate our time to socializing every puppy. At this critical age, each puppy starts to develop their own personality and is ready for their new home. Above all else, we want to ensure each puppy becomes part of a loving family.
